ART CLASSES IN TADDINGTON
ArtSpace runs a series of 2-hour art classes on alternate Wednesday mornings at the Taddington Village Institute, with two “terms” running January-April and October-December, taking a break over Summer. 2026 marks the 10th Anniversary of ArtSpace classes, which started in October 2016, and have run continuously (with a break for Covid) ever since!
The classes are for anyone who would like to learn, improve or practice painting and drawing skills with a friendly and supportive group, led by a tutor. Designed with a mix of imaginative and creative exercises alongside more formal drawing, colour and media techniques, they are suitable for beginners or those with some experience. The aim is to have fun experimenting, learning and practicing to improve fundamental drawing or painting skills that are relevant whichever medium you would like to try. Some art supplies are provided as part of the class, so you have the opportunity to use a wide variety of media, for example pencil, charcoal, crayon, hard and soft pastels, ink, watercolour, acrylic, oil.
Class tutor is Artspace member Cheryl. So, if you’ve ever said “I wish I could paint/draw” now is your chance!
