From the First World War artillery range and the development of mortars, to mine-safety research, the RAF and the storage of ‘special weapons’, Harpur Hill has a remarkable and surprising history. Local Historian Alan Roberts traces the history of Harpur Hill from its farming origins to the present day. The talk will be followed by light refreshments.
